This will be our final screening of Spring 2024!
On Wednesday, May 15th, join us at the Capitol Centre for a one-night-only screening of SUZE, the new Canadian comedy/drama from Directors Dane Clark and Linsey Stewart, starring Charlie Gillespie and former SNL Alumni, Michaela Watkins.
When her only daughter leaves for college, Suze, a single mom who has lost her purpose, gets stuck taking care of her daughter’s heartbroken ex-boyfriend who she can’t stand. On her journey of self-discovery, Suze discovers what living purposefully really looks like, while making an unlikely bond along the way.
“Suze, much like the lesson instilled upon Susan and Gage about faulty first perceptions, should not be judged by its cover; dig deep and viewers will discover a tale of the transformative power of unlikely relationships and connection, and how a shared experience can allow one to rediscover their purpose.”
– Sarah Regan, Exclaim!
“The on-screen chemistry of Watkins and Gillespie is infectious. They elevate the characters Suze and Gage and explore a dynamic that we don’t usually see on screen . . . not like this. This is proof that two actors can make each other better on screen.”
– Keith Whittier, Ottawa Life
“Michaela Watkins soars as empty-nester mom who forges unlikely friendship with ditzy teen boy”
– Teghan Beaudette, CBC News
